Privacy Policy

1. Overview
BedinilAbs ("we", "us") built NumStorm as a free arcade game. This policy explains what data is collected, why, and how it is handled. We collect as little as possible and never sell personal information.
2. Data We Collect
2a. Leaderboard scores (optional)
Score submission is opt-in. If you choose to submit a score, the following is stored:
- Nickname (provided by you or randomly generated)
- Score, wave reached, combo, and other in-game statistics
- Game mode (Classic or Blitz)
- Country code derived from your IP address at submission time (2-letter ISO code only)
- A one-way hash of your IP address (used solely for rate-limiting; not reversible)
- Timestamp of submission
No real name, email address, phone number, or account credentials are ever requested or stored.
2b. Analytics
The App uses Google Analytics for Firebase to collect anonymised usage data, including session duration, screen views, and crash reports. This data is aggregated and used only to improve the game. Google may process this data according to its own Privacy Policy.
2c. Website visits
When you visit numstorm.bedinilabs.com, standard web server logs (IP address, browser, pages visited) may be recorded by the hosting infrastructure for security and diagnostic purposes. These logs are not shared with third parties and are retained for a short period.
3. How We Use Your Data
- Displaying the public leaderboard on the Website
- Rate-limiting score submissions to prevent abuse
- Diagnosing crashes and improving game performance (via Google Analytics)
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond the above.
4. Data Sharing
Your leaderboard data (nickname + score) is publicly visible on the Website by design — that is the purpose of submitting a score. We do not share any data with third parties except:
- Cloudflare — our API and leaderboard backend runs on Cloudflare Workers and Cloudflare D1 (database). Cloudflare processes request data as a data processor on our behalf.
- Google (Firebase Analytics) — anonymised in-app usage data as described in section 2b.
No other third parties have access to any data.
5. Data Retention
Leaderboard entries are retained for the duration of the active season and may be archived thereafter. IP hashes used for rate-limiting expire after 24 hours. You may request deletion of your entries at any time (see Section 7).
6. Children's Privacy
NumStorm is a general-audience game. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted identifiable data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
7. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any leaderboard entries associated with your nickname by contacting us at [email protected]. Because submissions are pseudonymous (nickname only), we may ask you to verify ownership by submitting from the same device.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the App or Website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
